How to get involved

  • Make yourself aware of up to date activities in the world, through the web sites linked to this site.

  • There is a lot a terrible news out there, but there is also a lot of good results from the work that foundation members are doing.

  • Survey your own town, find out who stocks FAIRTRADE Marked products, and tell others.

  • Check the local catering outlets, hairdressers and other business’ that offer you refreshment.

  • Encourage your church to become FAIRTRADE and apply for a certificate.

  • Encourage your Social Group to take the same action.

  • Convert your workplace to FAIRTRADE, details on the foundation site.

  • Please send your surveys to us, we cannot get everywhere and you have a bigger impact on your own locality than we will.

  •  Please send questions, suggestions and comments.

  • There is lots more to do, organising events in your town or village

  • There are lots of things we can do Island wide, every one of us has a marvellous talent, have you found yours yet.

A recent YouGov survey has revealed that despite growing support for Fairtrade in the UK, only 17% of UK workers say their companies are currently serving Fairtrade products at work. Almost two out of five workers (38%) say they think their company should make products carrying the FAIRTRADE Mark available to staff at work.
Products include tea, coffee and juice to quench your thirst, biscuits and cakes for meetings, and wine for client dining. You can also source Fairtrade certified cotton for your company T-shirts and uniforms and brighten up reception with Fairtrade flowers!

Convert your Shop

It's easy. There are hundreds of Fairtrade teas and coffees to choose from as well as Fairtrade hot chocolate, sugar, and bananas, all at competitive prices.
Speak to your existing wholesaler about Fairtrade foods. You may be able to source from them. Otherwise, see the Fairtrade list of wholesalers.
Look at the Fairtrade list of wholesalers that can supply Fairtrade foods.

Convert your Cafe or Restaurant

It's easy to make Fairtrade available to your customers. There are hundreds of Fairtrade teas and coffees to choose from as well as Fairtrade hot chocolate, sugar, and bananas, all at competitive prices.
Speak to your existing supplier about Fairtrade foods. You may be able to source from them. Otherwise, the Out of Home Directory lists nationwide suppliers who are registered with the Fairtrade Foundation to supply the out of home market.
